Central Bus Terminal — Notice to Passengers
Lost property is kept for fourteen days at the small office beside Gate 1. Please bring your ticket when you come to collect it.
Dear Mr. Chen,
Thank you for booking a vehicle with Blue Road Rentals from 8 to 11 June. You have chosen a small automobile with an automatic gear box.
Please bring your driving license and a credit card. We cannot hand over the keys unless we see both.
The car will be waiting on level B of the car park at airport terminal two. Our staff will check the tires and the brakes with you before you drive away.
Fuel is not included. If the tank is not full when you return the car, a fee of NT$1,000 will be added.
Safe driving,
Amy Wu
Ten years ago an electric car was a rare sight on the roads of Taiwan. Today about one in six new vehicles sold in the country runs on a battery, and the number is still rising.
Drivers give two reasons. Charging at home costs less than filling a tank, and the cars are far quieter, which pleases neighbors in crowded districts.
Problems remain. There are still few charging points outside the cities, so a long trip needs careful planning. Repair shops also complain that they must retrain their staff, because an electric motor has far fewer moving parts than an old engine.
One-way adult fares from Central Terminal to four towns.

Children under 12 pay half the bus fare. Trains do not stop at Hillside on Sundays.
